Dinghies for kids and beginners
Stable, safe boats for children learning to sail.
In short: For children learning to sail we recommend the Taz (a 30 kg child can sail it alone), the Europi (it uses the Optimist sail and is very easy to right), the Optimist to start racing, the Topper and the Topaz 12 catamaran, a very stable platform.

When learning to sail, the most important thing is a boat that gives confidence from the very first minute. These are the models we recommend for children and beginners, whether at a school or with the family.
Taz2.95 m · 1-2 · 40 kg
Europi2.39 m · 1-2 · 39 kg
OptimistIODA rules · 35 kg
Topper3.40 m · 1-2 · 45 kg
Catamaran Topaz 123.65 m · 1-2 · 85 kgWhich one to choose
- Taz: very stable and roomy. A 30 kg child can sail it alone and it carries up to 160 kg, so two children, or an adult and a child, fit too. It is self-draining and easy to right.
- Europi: it uses the same sail as the Optimist, very simple to rig, and its excellent buoyancy makes it very easy to right after a capsize.
- Optimist: the boat in which the youngest start racing. Ours is built to IODA rules.
- Topper: simple, safe and stable; perfect for beginners and families, and it fits on a car roof.
- Topaz 12 catamaran: a very stable platform with plenty of room on the trampoline, for a fun start.
